The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,342.13) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Gironella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work M. Degas visita a Sonia (Sonia Infante hija de Pedro Infante), which sold at auction in November 2002 for USD 35,850.00 (€ 36,095.45).

Die Arbeit La Giganta von Alberto Gironella kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.342,13) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Gironella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit M. Degas visita a Sonia (Sonia Infante hija de Pedro Infante) beobachtet, die im November 2002 für USD 35.850,00 (€ 36.095,45) versteigert wurde.
