In October 2002 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Musical Interlude in the Harem by Alberto Fabbi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,510.00 (€ 21,769.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alberto Fabbi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Italian Odalisques was auctioned for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 34,306.34).
