Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Sade (Love Deluxe), London, July 31st by Albert Watson for USD 7,680.00 (€ 6,969.15). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Watson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kate Moss, Marrakech, January 1993 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,464.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sade (Love Deluxe), London, July 31st von Albert Watson für USD 7.680,00 (€ 6.969,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Watson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kate Moss, Marrakech, January 1993 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.464,65).
