Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Martigny-Orsieres by Albert Muret was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,455.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Muret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Martigny-Orsieres, which sold at auction in January 2012 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,543.29).
