This artwork by Albert Jurardus van Prooijen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A small boat in a stream by a windmill sold for NLG 2,574.44 (€ 1,131.63) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Jurardus van Prooijen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sailing vessels in a stiff breeze in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 17,625.00 (€ 7,712.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Jurardus van Prooijen erzielte im Juli 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit A small boat in a stream by a windmill für NLG 2.574,44 (€ 1.131,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Jurardus van Prooijen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sailing vessels in a stiff breeze im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 17.625,00 (€ 7.712,36).
