Auction result well in line with expectations
The work June Havoc Playing Cards; And Five Companion Works by Al Hirschfeld was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in December 2007. The price achieved of USD 687.50 (€ 470.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Al Hirschfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Night At The '21' Club in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,614.26).
