Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey, which included the work Portrait of Miss Gertie Millar, later Countess of Dudley, full-length, seated, in a blue dress and feathered hat by Albert Henry Collings. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,330.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Henry Collings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Goldfish Bowl in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,100.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Miss Gertie Millar, later Countess of Dudley, full-length, seated, in a blue dress and feathered hat von Albert Henry Collings zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.330,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Henry Collings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Goldfish Bowl im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 36.100,98).
