A top price for Albert Edelfelt
The work Finnish the Boys' Workhouse, Helsinki by Albert Edelfelt was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2013. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 450,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 458,500.00 (€ 536,058.09). With this result, Finnish the Boys' Workhouse, Helsinki is even the most expensive work of art by Albert Edelfelt that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Finnish the Boys' Workhouse, Helsinki von Albert Edelfelt wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 450.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 458.500,00 (€ 536.058,09) einen neuen Besitzer.
