Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Bay Hunter In A Stable by Albert Clark was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,960.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Clark - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bury Victor Chief a heavy horse; and Bindsall Menestrel a heavy horse, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,359.96).
