The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 1,200.00 but the actual price achieved was more than nine times as high at EUR 11,970.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Cheuret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Pair Of Argus Light Wall, Circa 1925 in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 78,120.00.
Kunstwerk zum Neunfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Pair Of Wall Lights von Albert Cheuret im September 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 1.200,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 11.970,00 mehr als neunmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Cheuret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Pair Of Argus Light Wall, Circa 1925 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 78.120,00.
