Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nocturne, Blue and Yellow by Alan Reynolds was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,593.75 (€ 1,869.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Reynolds achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Legend in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,236.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nocturne, Blue and Yellow von Alan Reynolds wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.593,75 (€ 1.869,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Reynolds erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Legend im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.236,48).
