This artwork by Alan Reynolds achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May last year. In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work In Spring sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,609.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Reynolds have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Legend in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,236.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Reynolds erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship wurde die Arbeit In Spring für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.609,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Reynolds auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Legend im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.236,48).
