Sold at the lower estimate price
In January 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Study of Princess Elizabeth driving at Windsor by Allan Gwynne-Jones. The result of GBP 250.00 (€ 280.57) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Gwynne-Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torth Hovis a Chyllell (Hovis Loaf and Knife) in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,712.35).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of Princess Elizabeth driving at Windsor von Allan Gwynne-Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 250,00 (€ 280,57) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250,00 – 350,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allan Gwynne-Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torth Hovis a Chyllell (Hovis Loaf and Knife) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.712,35).
