Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Miraculous Cross by Alan Davie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,007.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Davie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goddess Of The Green in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 234,000.00 (€ 347,544.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Miraculous Cross von Alan Davie kam im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.007,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Davie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goddess Of The Green im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 234.000,00 (€ 347.544,02).
