In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Zen Magic by Alan Davie. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,497.95), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Davie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goddess Of The Green in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 234,000.00 (€ 347,544.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zen Magic von Alan Davie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.497,95) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Davie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goddess Of The Green im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 234.000,00 (€ 347.544,02).
