This artwork by Alan Davie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Bird Wall sold for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,510.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Davie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goddess Of The Green in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 234,000.00 (€ 347,544.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Davie erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Bird Wall für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.510,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Davie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goddess Of The Green im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 234.000,00 (€ 347.544,02).
