Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alan Cote could be acquired at Christies in New York in August 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Untitled, 1971 changed hands for USD 120.00 (€ 97.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Cote achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fallen Tree: A Diptych in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,146.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Cote konnte im August 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, 1971 für USD 120,00 (€ 97,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Cote erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fallen Tree: A Diptych im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.146,88).
