Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Great Tide(Painted In 1987) by Ai Zhongxin was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 118,000.00 (€ 12,450.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ai Zhongxin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danube Dreams (Painted In 1986), which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 259,600.00 (€ 27,794.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Great Tide(Painted In 1987) von Ai Zhongxin kam im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 118.000,00 (€ 12.450,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ai Zhongxin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Danube Dreams (Painted In 1986) beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 259.600,00 (€ 27.794,25) versteigert wurde.
