Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Les Miroirs Noirs VII by Ahmed Cherkaoui. It changed hands for a price of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 44,497.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Ahmed Cherkaoui have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November this year the work Claire de Lune (Moonlight) was auctioned for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,303.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Miroirs Noirs VII von Ahmed Cherkaoui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 44.497,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ahmed Cherkaoui konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November diesen Jahres die Arbeit Claire de Lune (Moonlight) für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.303,63) versteigert.
