Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Aharon Messeg was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aharon Messeg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kfar Nahum, which sold at auction in November 2009 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,418.83).

Die Arbeit Composition von Aharon Messeg wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aharon Messeg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kfar Nahum beobachtet, die im November 2009 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.418,83) versteigert wurde.
