Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Agnes Millen Richmond could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Portrait Of A Woman changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,423.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Agnes Millen Richmond have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2006 by the work Portrait of the artist's husband, Winthrop Turney, seated on a bed at GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,597.91).
