Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arab Icons (from the Icons of The Four Corners series) by Afsoon was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,787.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Afsoon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work The Shah and His Three Queens (from the Fairytale Icons series) was auctioned for USD 37,500.00 (€ 25,301.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arab Icons (from the Icons of The Four Corners series) von Afsoon kam im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.787,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Afsoon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2011 die Arbeit The Shah and His Three Queens (from the Fairytale Icons series) für USD 37.500,00 (€ 25.301,94) versteigert.
