In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Sleeping Beauty by Afifa Aleiby. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,049.19), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Afifa Aleiby - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loneliness, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,797.85).

Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleeping Beauty von Afifa Aleiby zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.049,19) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Afifa Aleiby mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loneliness beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.797,85) versteigert wurde.
