Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Affandi could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Scarecrows changed hands for HKD 945,000.00 (€ 110,891.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 950,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Affandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Borobudur And The Sun in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Affandi konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Scarecrows für HKD 945.000,00 (€ 110.891,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 950.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Affandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70).
