Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Affandi could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Fishing Boats changed hands for HKD 377,500.00 (€ 41,974.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Affandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Borobudur And The Sun in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Affandi konnte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Fishing Boats für HKD 377.500,00 (€ 41.974,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Affandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70).
