Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boars by Affandi was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 604,800.00 (€ 67,275.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Affandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Borobudur And The Sun in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boars von Affandi wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 604.800,00 (€ 67.275,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Affandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70).
