Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Evening Auction, which included the work Balinese Gambler by Affandi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,276,000.00 (€ 396,092.25), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Affandi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Borobudur And The Sun, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balinese Gambler von Affandi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.276.000,00 (€ 396.092,25) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Affandi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70) versteigert wurde.
