Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work The Train is Coming! by Aenne Biermann for GBP 470.00 (€ 736.00). This price was achieved in the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, MAGIC LANTERNS AND OPTICAL TOYS AND CAMERAS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aenne Biermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Helga 9 1/2 Jahre alt (Helga 9 1/2 years old) in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,097.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Train is Coming! von Aenne Biermann für GBP 470,00 (€ 736,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS, MAGIC LANTERNS AND OPTICAL TOYS AND CAMERAS bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aenne Biermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Helga 9 1/2 Jahre alt (Helga 9 1/2 years old) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.097,18).
