Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Musical Party Before A Laid Table With A Landscape Through A Doorway Beyond by Aelbert Jansz. van der Schoor. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 24,799.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aelbert Jansz. van der Schoor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Allegory of Youth And Old Age: A Lady Offering Flowers To A Young Woman, With An Elderly Lady Beyond, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 54,500.00 (€ 69,479.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Musical Party Before A Laid Table With A Landscape Through A Doorway Beyond von Aelbert Jansz. van der Schoor zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 24.799,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Aelbert Jansz. van der Schoor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Allegory of Youth And Old Age: A Lady Offering Flowers To A Young Woman, With An Elderly Lady Beyond beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 54.500,00 (€ 69.479,80) versteigert wurde.
