Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Adrien Thevenot could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work French nude In A Landscape changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,677.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adrien Thevenot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Musique sur l'herbe in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 73,846.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adrien Thevenot konnte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit French nude In A Landscape für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.677,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrien Thevenot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Musique sur l'herbe im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 73.846,31).
