Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Belgianjohn Dryden Reading One Of His Poems Before The Court by Adrien Ferdinand de Braekeleer was sold in the 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,241.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adrien Ferdinand de Braekeleer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Dutch homestead; and The poulterer in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 42,887.50 (€ 68,247.52).

Die Arbeit Belgianjohn Dryden Reading One Of His Poems Before The Court von Adrien Ferdinand de Braekeleer wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
