In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Peter Langan: A Life with Art, which included the work Dorothy in the yellow coat by Adrian Allinson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,166.39), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrian Allinson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Static Water at Cumberland Place, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 8,365.00 (€ 13,099.70).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Peter Langan: A Life with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dorothy in the yellow coat von Adrian Allinson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.166,39) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrian Allinson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Static Water at Cumberland Place beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für GBP 8.365,00 (€ 13.099,70) versteigert wurde.
