A top price for Adriaen Verdoel I - as previously expected
In May 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Daniel And The Babylonian Dragon; And The Meeting of Abraham And Melchizedek by Adriaen Verdoel I. It changed hands for a price of EUR 19,200.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Daniel And The Babylonian Dragon; And The Meeting of Abraham And Melchizedek is the most expensive artwork by Adriaen Verdoel I that we have observed at auctions so far.
