Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A peasant drinking and smoking at a table by Adriaen Verdoel I was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adriaen Verdoel I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Daniel And The Babylonian Dragon; And The Meeting of Abraham And Melchizedek in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.

Die Arbeit A peasant drinking and smoking at a table von Adriaen Verdoel I kam im September 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen Verdoel I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Daniel And The Babylonian Dragon; And The Meeting of Abraham And Melchizedek im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
