Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Weldon Collection, which included the work Winter Landscape With Elegant Figures by Adriaen van de Venne. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 322,000.00 (€ 288,478.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adriaen van de Venne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River, Prince Maurits Of Orange-Nassau With A Hunting Party In The Foreground in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,308,000.00 (€ 1,942,681.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Weldon Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter Landscape With Elegant Figures von Adriaen van de Venne zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 322.000,00 (€ 288.478,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Venne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River, Prince Maurits Of Orange-Nassau With A Hunting Party In The Foreground im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.308.000,00 (€ 1.942.681,93).
