Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work A winter landscape with skaters before a village by Adriaen van de Venne for USD 175,000.00 (€ 150,253.28). This price was achieved in the auction The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van de Venne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River, Prince Maurits Of Orange-Nassau With A Hunting Party In The Foreground in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,308,000.00 (€ 1,942,681.93).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River, Prince Maurits Of Orange-Nassau With A Hunting Party In The Foreground im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.308.000,00 (€ 1.942.681,93).
