Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work An elderly beggars' couple holding an empty bowl upturned; 'en brunaille' by Adriaen van de Venne. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 35,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van de Venne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River, Prince Maurits Of Orange-Nassau With A Hunting Party In The Foreground in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,308,000.00 (€ 1,942,681.93).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River, Prince Maurits Of Orange-Nassau With A Hunting Party In The Foreground im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.308.000,00 (€ 1.942.681,93).
