Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Amalia Von Hesse-Kassel by Adriaen Hanneman was sold in the Master Paintings Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 80,779.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Adriaen Hanneman have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2014 the work Portrait Of An Officer, Possibly Robert Davies (1616-1666) was auctioned for GBP 68,500.00 (€ 88,182.22).
