In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work A male nude, bending forward, resting a rod on his shoulder (recto); The same figure, studied again (verso); and A male nude shouting (recto); A male nude leaning to the side (verso) by Adolphe Rudolph Hiremy-Hirschl. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,233.28), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe Rudolph Hiremy-Hirschl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ahasuerus (The Wandering Jew) in May 2004 with an auction result of AUD 119,500.00 (€ 69,820.00).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A male nude, bending forward, resting a rod on his shoulder (recto); The same figure, studied again (verso); and A male nude shouting (recto); A male nude leaning to the side (verso) von Adolphe Rudolph Hiremy-Hirschl zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.233,28) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolphe Rudolph Hiremy-Hirschl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ahasuerus (The Wandering Jew) im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 119.500,00 (€ 69.820,00).
