In September 2004 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Leda And The Swan by Adolphe-Ernest Gumery. The price achieved of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,704.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Adolphe-Ernest Gumery have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2003 the work Dans le jardin was auctioned for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 9,286.96).
