In May 2016 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work Vue D'Istanbul by Adolf Bachmann. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,450.00 69% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolf Bachmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Swis the Bosphorus, From The Asian Side, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,299.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 69 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue D'Istanbul von Adolf Bachmann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.450,00 und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolf Bachmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Swis the Bosphorus, From The Asian Side beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.299,44) versteigert wurde.
