In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, which included the work The Game of Cards by Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 32,760.00 (€ 39,075.81), 64% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baptism of the Condé in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 248,000.00 (€ 292,246.05).

Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Game of Cards von Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 39.075,81) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baptism of the Condé im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 248.000,00 (€ 292.246,05).
