In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Norwegian Portrait Of A Young Girl by Adolph Tidemand. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,635.15) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolph Tidemand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Brudepynting" in June 2010 with an auction result of SEK 1,800,000.00 (€ 188,772.27).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Norwegian Portrait Of A Young Girl von Adolph Tidemand zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.635,15) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolph Tidemand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Brudepynting" im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.800.000,00 (€ 188.772,27).
