Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Norwegian a Hardanger Interior, Young Girl Knitting by Adolph Tidemand. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 74,500.00 (€ 87,102.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolph Tidemand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Brudepynting", which sold at auction in June 2010 for SEK 1,800,000.00 (€ 188,772.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Norwegian a Hardanger Interior, Young Girl Knitting von Adolph Tidemand zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 74.500,00 (€ 87.102,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolph Tidemand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Brudepynting" beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für SEK 1.800.000,00 (€ 188.772,27) versteigert wurde.
