In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work St Mark'S Square, Venice by Adolf Sukkert. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,703.50), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolf Sukkert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Piazzetta, Venice, Looking Towards The Piazza San Marco, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 86,819.00).
