Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 5,953.14), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Konstantin Stoilov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Russian Caravan racing in the Snow, which sold at auction in October 2004 for USD 28,680.00 (€ 22,501.18).

Die Arbeit Convoy Of Gold In Siberia von Konstantin Stoilov wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 5.953,14) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Konstantin Stoilov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Russian Caravan racing in the Snow beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für USD 28.680,00 (€ 22.501,18) versteigert wurde.
