Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon, which included the work Still Life with Shell, 1940 by Adelaide Perry. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 6,765.00 (€ 4,054.71), 23% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Adelaide Perry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Marilla in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Shell, 1940 von Adelaide Perry zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 6.765,00 (€ 4.054,71) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adelaide Perry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Marilla im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87).
