Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Card Players by Adam de Coster. The price achieved of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 85,658.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adam de Coster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Young Woman Holding A Distaff Before A Lit Candle in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,850,000.00 (€ 4,493,236.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Card Players von Adam de Coster zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 85.658,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adam de Coster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Young Woman Holding A Distaff Before A Lit Candle im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.850.000,00 (€ 4.493.236,98).
