In March this year Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Vue de la villa Lancellotti à Frascati, avant les travaux de modifications débutés en 1866 by Jean-Achille Benouville. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,560.00 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Achille Benouville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rome, a view of Saint Peter's and the Castel Sant'Angelo in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,682.32).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue de la villa Lancellotti à Frascati, avant les travaux de modifications débutés en 1866 von Jean-Achille Benouville zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.560,00 und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Achille Benouville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rome, a view of Saint Peter's and the Castel Sant'Angelo im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 72.682,32).
