Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View Of Kiev by Abraham Manievich was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 49,349.56). Admittedly, works by Abraham Manievich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Neige dans la forêt. 1913. in July 2021 with an auction result of CHF 305,300.00 (€ 283,992.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View Of Kiev von Abraham Manievich im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 49.349,56) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Manievich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Neige dans la forêt. 1913. im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 305.300,00 (€ 283.992,82).
